2002 Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner, held at West Vale on was enjoyed by about 55 Old Boys. After an excellent meal, Mr J. Hamer announced that the appeal had already been met for the school’s Language College donation. Mr G.P. Smith said the school grace, and the loyal toast was proposed by Mr R. Stollery. The response was given by Dr P.S. Williams, who spoke eloquently about the academic and social progress of the school.

The guest speaker, at short notice, was Mr J Farrell, who entertained us with tales of his wayward youth, and evoked movingly what the experience of being at Twickenham last year was like. Old friendships were renewed, new ones made, and a good time was had by all.

A departure from tradition was the playing of an energetic exclusion game which Mr Hamer organised, certainly enjoyed by the more exhibitionistic Old Boys!
