Christopher John Gornall – [Heath 1973–1978]
Christopher Gornall passed away on after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. A beloved partner to Pat, a dear son to Brenda and the late Alan, a devoted dad, grandad, brother and a good friend to many.
The funeral service was at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Monday, . Donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
Keith Goulden – [Heath 1966–1971]
Keith Goulden died unexpectedly on Monday, 21 February 2011.
In 2001 he had become Halifax Junior Cricket League fixture secretary in 2001; this involved preparing over 800 fixtures to be played in leagues from under-nines through to under-17 level. He was subsequently appointed Halifax League assistant secretary in 2007 and then became league secretary in 2009.
League president David Normanton said:
In that four-year period, Keith, made an outstanding contribution to the running of the Halifax Cricket League. His final contribution had been to attend the executive meeting on Monday, February 21, where he had delivered the latest update on the progression of our League Centenary Celebrations for 2013 — a project that he was managing in conjunction with myself and others, with his usual enthusiasm and vigour and an event he was really looking forward to.
His funeral was at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Thursday 3rd March 2011 with refreshments after at Blackley Cricket Club.
Sincere condolences were offered to Sue and the extended family.
