James Gordon Farrar died aged 88 years on peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. Dearly loved husband of the late Anne, father of Benjamin and Lucy and stepfather of Sophia. A superb father-in-law of Greg and Evelyn. A devoted Grandpa to Freddie, Harry, Jessie, Hugo and Charlotte and a Great Grandpa to Emily and Jack.
Jim was a member of the winning 1951 Ilkley Sevens and 1952 Ilkley Sevens teams.
A celebration of Jim's life was held at St Jude's Church, Savile Park, Halifax at 11.30am on Friday . Donations, if so desired, may be given to the Alzheimers Society c/o B.J.Melia & Sons, Providence Chapel, Huddersfield Rd, Elland, HX5 9AH.

He had been Assistant Scout Master of the Senior Scout Troop at Heath. He served in the Royal Navy during the war and studied at Leeds University.

John Firth died suddenly at home aged 82 years on . Dearly loved husband of the late Gloria, a much loved dad of Dawn and Mark, a dear father in law of Lee and Diane, a much loved grandad of Aiden, Eleanor, Hannah, Olivia and William and great grandad of Charlie, Noah and Harriet.
The service and cremation was held at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Thursday, at 10.30am.
